In this blog, we’ll talk about everything in Golden Oak Park. There is a baseball field, a playground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a large green space.
Adnan Karim's video shows both the playground and the volleyball court.
There is a parking lot off Golden Oak Road with 27 spots and 3 handicapped spots. If that parking lot is full, the next best place to park is on Foxbrook Drive or Windwood Place (both of these are in the neighborhoods.
The baseball field in Golden Oak Park has a bench for each team, but no shade cover. There are also no bleachers for the parents, so they will need to bring their own chair or stand for the game. Unfortunately, there is no shade. Bring sunscreen or an umbrella! The ballfield doesn’t have an outfield fence. This means that younger kids will typically play on this field.
The basketball court is in between the parking lot and the baseball field. It is a full-sized basketball court with a mid-court line, three-point lines, and free-throw lines. You don’t see these types of courts very often in the Inland Empire.
Up next is the bathroom. They are conveniently located right next to the parking lot and playground - you also don’t see this very often.
Right next to this are some picnic tables and barbecue grills. There are 8 tables in total, with 4 being underneath shelters (they don’t provide very much shade, though). Shelter A is the one on the left, and Shelter B is the one on the right. There are lots of trash cans around the picnic tables.
Golden Oak Park is 5 acres, and half of it is open grass. You can play baseball, football, soccer, frisbee, spike ball, or anything else.
There are lights around the park for nighttime activities. Golden Oak Park is open 24 hours a day, after all!
You have a great view of the San Gabriel Mountains and Mount Baldy from the park, and it gets so much better when there is snow on it.
Rancho Cucamonga parks prohibit skateboarding and dogs without a leash. There are dog parks nearby where you can allow them to run around freely.
Kevin Stivers' review says, "The park was so gorgeous. Super clean. Even the picnic tables were clean. The open field was so green. Ball park looked great. Playground was clean. No trash in the sand anywhere. Pleasantly surprised at how clean the park was."
Golden Oak Park Playground
There are 2 playgrounds, one for older children and one for younger children. It doesn’t matter if a young kid uses the older playground or vice versa. Also, there are some benches under a tree so you can watch your kids closely.
The older playground (the larger one) has 3 slides, a fireman pole, a swirly fireman pole, a bridge, games, and a zipline.
The smaller playground has 2 slides, a tube slide, a swirly fireman pole, a regular fireman pole, a ladder, and spring riders.
There are also 2 traditional swings and 2 bucket swings.
The playground surface is a mix of sand and rubber. It may be hot in the summer, so be careful!
